Data lenses are the best way for checking and organizing data reported by the device.
When devices report data to the system, it may not send in a way that is necessarily easily read and understood by humans. A Data Lens can help you translate the potentially hard-to-read data into a more human-friendly format.
Data Lens
A data lens is a filter that you place over your data to highlight the aspects of interest. It distills the raw information into its essential or relevant components.
How to create/edit a data lens:
There are many different ways to create or edit a data lens.
Create a new data lens from the data lens page.
- Access the “Data Lenses” page on the left-hand panel.
- Select the yellow button in the bottom right.
- Fill in the relevant information.
- Select “ADD DATA LENS”.
Adding separate data inputs from the device as elements to an already existing data
- Access a specific device with an incoming data stream that you wish to add to the data lens.
- Go to “Latest Data” on the left-hand panel.
- Locate the data stream that you wish to add to the data lens.
- Select the edit button.
- Enter the relevant information.
- Select “UPDATE ELEMENT”.
